The IdahoSTARS project is a voluntary program that provides training in child development, education, health, safety and assessment of child care facilities based on national quality standards. It was established to increase parents’ access to affordable and inclusive child care. Star is a city in northwestern Ada County, Idaho, with parts stretching into neighboring Canyon County. The population was 11,117 at the 2020 census, [3] up from 5,793 in 2010.
